Let's Walk Together in His Dawning Grace
The idea of Dawning Grace began three years ago when life began to fall apart.
Maybe that is where you find yourself today.
For me, falling apart looked like my marriage of 30 years completely unraveling, though the threads that held it together had been frayed for a long time.
I remember standing in my kitchen, crying out to the Lord, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" I was shaken to my core. After spending years fighting to keep my family together, I learned my husband had chosen to break the covenant of our marriage, again. Fear threatened to send me back into the pit of despair. I thought to myself, "God is not going to let our family be ripped apart because of this. We've weathered many stormy seasons, surely we'll endure this one too."
But God had other plans.
You see, God doesn't always take the mess we make of life and give us a fairy tale ending.
He will use even the hardest, most painful circumstances to reveal that His grace is sufficient and give us the strength to endure the fiercest trials.
As I cried out to Him, (a big ugly cry that I'm thankful only He witnessed), He whispered into my heart:
"Your life isn't falling apart, it's falling into place."
After hearing these words, my sobs stilled, my breathing slowed down, the anger subsided, and inexplicable peace began to settle in my soul.
No, my circumstances didn't change. The consequences of infidelity had to be faced, but I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt, I was not facing them alone. God was gently reminding me to seek Him. He called me to remember His Word, which has been a source of strength, comfort, discipline, and life for many years.
Grace is found at the foot of the cross and at His throne.
We find it when we open our hearts to receive the truth He so graciously wrote for us to live out of.
Beloved sister, I ask you to walk with me as we draw nearer to the One who brings new mercies every morning and refreshes our souls with His dawning grace day by day.
